A high energy non- stop, show presenting the traditional Rhythms, Songs, Dances and costumes of Brazil. This performance consist of the following types of sets put together to make up the Brasilian Experience Extravaganza
1.)Pagode Group - Som Brasil (perform popular music of Brasil)

2.) Folkloric Group (performing Afro Brazilian cultural dances, songs and rhythms from Bahia.
Dances: Cafezao, dance from Ile Aiye, Batuque, Caboclu, Afro-Brasilian, Maculele and Capoeira

Presentation of the Orixas
....Casa Samba presentation of the Afro-Brasilian religion Candomblé, spiritual dances, songs and rhythms of the Orixas (saints). These Orixas include: “Ogum, Obaluae, Oxum, Yansa, Xango, Oxumare dance of the Cobra, and Oxala". All are represented in their traditional dresses and designated colors as well as movements and gestures that are characteristic of each of the Orixas.
... The dances are accompanied by 4 drummers playing traditional ceremonial drums. The presentation starts with traditional drumming, followed by a procession of the Orixas. Each Orixas is called out by its distinct rhythm and salutation and performs its particular dance with songs. The shows concludes with the procession off stage.
Although our performance adheres to most of the traditional aspects of this Yoruba based religion, it is a show not a real ceremony. .................... 30 minute an about 15-17 people needed for this Show

We offer several types of lectures, workshops/demonstrations on Samba, Capoeira, Afro-Brazilian and Candomblé, Team Building thru the Drum Circle to primary, secondary schools and universities audiences. Workshops can be offered to organizations and businesses at their conventions, retreats, etc. Other types of workshops include costume and instrument making, Brasilian percussion and performance of Afro-Brasilian songs and dances with live drumming accompaniment that culminates with a participant performance. At the university level, a discussion of the African retention in Brasilian and American dance forms; and lecture/ demonstration of influence of African drumming in Brasil or slide presentation of Capoeira Afro-Brasilian Martial Art. |
