Som Brasil Pagode Group The group performs a mixture of popular contemporary and folk Brazilian music. This group is great for party-style gatherings such as luncheons, brunches, private parties and dinner engagements.

The atmosphere is totally casual - often around a table. Musicians play and take turns, listeners join in singing, people dance, often without a break until dawn - forgetting troubles and celebrating life.
A Roda de Samba is its more traditional parent where samba (and nothing else) rules supreme. Pagode often includes more commercialized newer songs and the samba arguably is often less sophisticated. More typical pagode songs included are for example songs by Zeca Pagodinho (as the name suggests). For simplicity, let's call our sessions 'Pagode' - it seems to be much in use videos
Instrument Requirements- This is a 5-10 piece Brazilian band. The instrumentation may consist of Bass guitar, Cavaquinho (ukulele), guitar, vocals and 2-3 percussionist, depending on the size of the event.
