| From Uptown- Take Magazine Street downtown
until it turns onto Camp Street, stay on Camp Street until the second
light which will be Race Street. Make a right on Race and cross the
light at Magazine straight down to the Park. the N.O.R.D Center is a
building located within the Park on the right.
From Metairie and all points West: Take I-10 /90 West until you see the St Charles Avenue exit- get in your right hand lane. Take the very next exit which will be the Tschoupitulas Exit ( the last exit before you go over the bridge to the west bank. Exit ramp, and take right at the signal light which will be Annunciation Street. Stay on Annunciation and it will dead end into the park. The N.O.R.D. CENTER will be directly in front of you on the left. Make quick left then park .
Curtis Pierre
The director and founder of Casa Samba, recognized by Mayor Sidney Barthelemy in 1993 as the first New Orleans based samba school. with more than 25 years of experience of Samba Capoeira and Afro-Brazilian Culture Also recognized as one of the seven pandeiro masters in the United States.
Jorge Bezerra
Also known Jorge "Alabe" a renowned master drummer/percussionist of the Escola de Samba of Brazil. His most recent experience has been with the international touring group Oba Oba, of which he has been a member for the past 15 years. "Oba Oba" is the internationally renowned Brazilian showcase highlighting Brazil's rich cultural heritage through music, songs and dance. He was also the director of the Minas Gerias Samba School in Bela Horizonte, Brazil.

Casa Samba's Dance Choreographer Paula Reis-Cypress has choreographed numerous Afro Brazilian dances for Casa Samba since 1994 . She has set the standard of the passion and techniques of Brazilian dance for Casa Samba. 70% of all Casa Samba Afro-Brasilian Cultural dances over the past twenty years are credited to Paula Reis ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Casa Samba's Previous Brazilian Dance Choreographers Rosangela Silvestre - Orixas dance movement and Silvestre Technique ILE AIYE Dancers - Lorena from Ile Aiye instructions on Traditional Dances of ILE AIYE Beto Guimaraes - Frevo and Maracatu is dedicated to sharing the richness of his culture through the many forms of brazilian dance such Dandha Da Hora - Samba Regge, Samba Afro, Marracatu and Afro. Born and raised in Salvador, Bahia, Dandha has been a member of Ile Aiye, one of Brazil’s most important musical and cultural institutions, since she was 6 years old. She brings the incredible spirit of Salvaldor and of Ile Aiye to SambaDá and we are lucky to have her! A master dancer as well as vocalist and percussionist, Dandha honors the incredible gifts of her culture every time she performs. As a lead dancer with Ile Aiye, Dandha has shared the stage with Brazilian stars such as Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil and Daniela Mercury. As well as performing with Ile Aiye and SambaDá, Dandha teaches Afro Brazilian dance all over the San Francisco Bay Area. Dayse Barreto - Samba Regge, Samba Afro, and Afro-Caboclu.
